About the role

We’re hiring a Finance & Operations Associate to help run the operational backbone of HiPeople as we scale toward $10M ARR and beyond.

You’ll work directly with founders to own day-to-day finance and operations, keep the company compliant and running smoothly, and continuously improve how we operate. This role is for people who enjoy ownership, reliability, and building systems that scale.

We are an extremely lean team and plan to reach $10M ARR with fewer than 20 people. Every hire materially changes the company. This role has direct exposure to founders and real responsibility from day one.

What you’ll do

• Own core finance operations (invoicing, accounting, cash tracking, payroll inputs, audits)

• Work with external partners (accounting firm, payroll provider, legal, auditors)

• Maintain and improve financial models, budgets, and forecasts

• Run the annual SOC 2 audit end-to-end and proactively obtain additional certifications

• Ensure compliance across contracts, data protection, and company filings

• Own internal operational processes (tools, vendors, documentation)

• Improve how we roll by identifying inefficiencies and fixing them

• Build and maintain internal dashboards for cash, burn, and operational metrics

• Support ad-hoc founder projects where operational rigor is required

What we are looking for

• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail

• High ownership mindset and reliability

• Strong enjoyment of working with numbers, financial data, spreadsheets, and processes

• Ability to manage external partners and deadlines independently

• Clear communication and documentation skills

• Comfort improving processes rather than just following them

• Basic scripting or automation skills (e.g., Python, SQL, Google Apps Script) to speed up reporting or workflows are a plus

Background

• Consulting or business operations roles with hands-on execution

• Other paths that demonstrate operational ownership and rigor

• A BSc or MSc in Finance, Accounting, Management Science, or a related field
